An Attempt to Explain this Year's Card - "Stamp Collection"
I started out without much of an idea, and thought I would add to last year's collection of celebratory trading cards. Since Queen Elizabeth II's reign closely overlapped my own life (up to that point), I thought I would make "Queens" the theme. I started looking for images to fit that theme. Searching for "Queen Bee," I came across a beautiful postage stamp from Ukraine with a bee on it.
Pivot to Postage stamps! QEII was on Commonwealth postage stamps for 70 years. All I needed was a few more Queens to celebrate.
